CaroMont Cancer Center Receives Outstanding Achievement Award

The American College of Surgeons – Commission on Cancer (CoC) has given the highest level of national distinction to CaroMont Cancer Center. The Outstanding Achievement Award acknowledges cancer programs across the country that demonstrate compliance with CoC standards and provide state-of-the-art care.

CaroMont Cancer Center is one of only 16 hospitals out of more than 200 cancer programs across the United States to receive this award during a six-month period.Others recipients include Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, and Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

The goal of the award is to increase quality cancer care and encourage award recipients to share best practices.
