SERO Sponsors 5K to Raise Scholarship Funds

At SERO Group, we don’t just invest in the latest diagnostic and treatment options in the field of cancer, we also invest in cancer research and support fundraising groups to help find a cure. Every year, we sponsor a number of events and charities seeking to make a difference in the community and move us a step forward in curing cancer.

Most recently, SERO supported the event Take a Swing Against Breast Cancer, a golf and tennis event supporting breast cancer research and treatment, by sponsoring hole 18 of their golf course.

Take a Swing Against Breast Cancer was held late last month and invited everyone in the Charlotte, North Carolina area to participate in golf and tennis clinics throughout the day. The event was generously hosted at the Cramer Mountain Club by the Ladies Golf Association and was a resounding success, demonstrating everyone’s commitment to fighting back against cancer.

An Overview of the Event

Take a Swing Against Breast Cancer was held on September 21^st of this year and is a regular event in the community. The event lasted a full day with all proceeds benefiting the Woman in Pink, with numerous activities throughout the day. Just a few of the activities included:

• Tennis clinics
• Golf clinics
• A tennis velocity machine that allowed participants to practice forehands, backhands, and volleys
• Doubles tennis practice
• Putt-putt challenge
• Afternoon social event

All of the clinics were run by the outstanding tennis and golf pros who donated their services to the event in order to support cancer research and treatment. SERO was honored to play a critical role in making sure this event turned into a resounding success, including sponsoring hole 18.
